with

Olli Helenius

Hello darling fans, Mr. Castlestone here.

I got Mrs. Castlestone to Interview Olli Helenius Lead Singer of L-60* via email last month.  This is the interview and Mr. Helenius’ answers.  Thank you very much Olli. Hopefully we can talk with you real soon via a live phone interview.
My presence is on each page of the interview just as a copyright thing.  Enjoy

Love, Mr. Castlestone

When are you going to do a US tour?

Good question :)  We were supposed to do it already this year, but things went wrong somehow. But let's hope that 2008 will finally be THE year.

Who would you like to tour with most?

Doesn't really matter that much. I guess it would be more enjoyable with a band that has the same kind of audience as we do and who’s more interested of the music itself, rather than acting like clowns or rockstars.

Do you have any plans for summer festivals or maybe a summer US tour?

All this stuff is up in the air, as far as what I know. We have a booking person in US, but right now we are kinda in a process of figuring out what we'll do with her and what she is capable of doing for the band?

What type of practice schedule did you have?

Well, we usually practise once a week. We are all pretty much fulltime musicians, so everybody gets to play quite a bit outside of L-60*.

Why aren’t you playing at Helldone this year? Are there plans to maybe play next year?

It's hard to get into that festival since we haven't got that much recognition around Finland. Hopefully next year we get to play there.

How important do you feel internet radio will be in the coming years for helping get music out to new listeners?

I'm sure it will be (and already is) a big tool for indie bands.

What is your favorite gift ever given to you by a fan?

I haven’t got anything special, as far as what I remember, but I'd say flowers or chocolate.

What is the craziest thing some one has done to meet you?

No one has done anything crazy (as far as I know) and no one needs to really, since after the show I usually come to hang out with people in the audience.

What other special talents do you have?

hahaa... picking my nose. Music is pretty much all I can do...well, I'm pretty good in sports I guess. I was supposed to become a hockey/ basketball -player, but rock 'n roll saved me from sports!!!!

Do you notice a difference in the audiences based on the countries?

Yes, everywhere else than Finland works better for us. I guess it's more exotic for the audience to have a Finnish band.

What’s your favorite country to tour in?

Right now I think UK has been amazing. But I know we'd love US, I'm SO anxious to get over there. Since I think we sound different compared to US bands.

What is your favourite sound?

Loud distorted guitar playing a powerful riff.

What is your favourite color?

I always say to people that " I wear black until they come up with something darker"... I also like blue.

So, if you had to talk to one person, either living or dead, who would it be and what would you say to them, or what would you talk about?

I'd like to meet Jesus and ask him tons of questions.

On your Myspace you mention right off that you Love God.  Are you deeply religious and what denomination are you if any?

Well, the denominations differs of what you guys have, but let's say that we are all born again Christians.

Who are your biggest Musical Influences?

80's hardrock bands such as Whitesnake, Giant, Stryper, White Lion, Survivor etc... Those kinda bands are maybe the biggest influences, but I really love all kinds of music, and just really try to find music that moves my emotions.

Do you have any Pets?

No.

How vital do you feel a street team and sites like Trig and Myspace are to a Bands success these days?

I think those are all really important... the more the word is out about the band, the better.

Have you listened to Castlestone Radio? What do you think about its variety? :0)

To be honest, I haven't. But I know that after this I need to do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could you imagine yourself doing anything other than what your doing now career wise?
If so, what would that be?

Well, there are few things that I could possibly do, but I've been sticking with music all my life, so I continue to do so.

Where is your favorite place to shop?

All big cities have some cool shops, it's just matter of knowing where they are located. But if I had more time, I'd like to go back to London. Also Stockholm ( Sweden) has some really cool stores.

What’s your favorite movie or favorite type of movie?

I don't have a favorite movie, but I prefer just stupid and simple comedies such as Dumb and dumber.

Who’s your favorite author?

This might sound totally crazy to you if you happen to know her by name, but I'd still have to say Joyce Meyer.
