How long have you been in the music industry?
In some way 10 years.
What inspired you to create your type of music?
Life. Mine has not been an easy one. Songwriting is in my blood and
has worked as therapy.
Who are your musical influences?
The biggest one is Jeff Buckley. Now I've been into Johnny Cash and
The Mars Volta.
What type of practice schedule did you have?
I'm playing something with different instruments almost daily.
When I was in my teens I used to practice drums 8 hours a day.
What is your favorite gift ever given to you by a fan?
Mexican sweets.
What are your plans tours and festivals wise this year?
I'm playing with Olli Helenius here in Finland. We're also doing stuff with a new band.
Are you planning on expanding your tours to the US this year?
No. Not this year. Too soon.
How valuable do you feel internet radio will be to the future of new artists?
Priceless.
What is the craziest thing some one has done to meet you?
One got my phone number by stocking me and the pretending that she had lost her phone and needed to call home. Then she called from my phone to hers and got my number.
Do you feel a Street Team is vital to the expansion of new artist fan base?
Yes, absolutely.
What would you consider your fan base to be?
I think it's very good. I'm not so sure about US though.
When are you releasing your next album?
Hard to say. Hopefully soon.
Do you notice a difference in the audiences based on the countries?
It's different in other countries. People seem to be more open outside
of Finland. Maybe it's the weather! =)
What?s your favorite country to tour in?
So far it's been Prague.
Have you listened to Castlestone Radio? What do you think about its variety?
I haven't had so much time to really get into it but what I've seen I think it's very profound.
Could you imagine yourself doing anything other than what your doing now career wise?
If so, what would that be?
Maybe writing books or poems. I'm writing a book at the moment.
But so far it's for my eyes only.
What inspired themes of your music?
Again life in itself. But also books and other arts.
What process do you use to create a new song?
I try to be intuitive because that's when I feel that music flows through
me.
Who would you like to tour with?
The Mars Volta would be cool.
What would be your dream tour?
Two months in India! =)
